Closing date next Sunday, 28th, during ranking event 3

Isle of Man Pairs Championship 2021-2022

Entries for this competition (including the fee of £10 per pair) are now open to all players registered with the IOMBSA and will close at 7.30pm on Sunday 28th November. Entries will not be accepted without the entry fee or after the scheduled closing time. The pairs’ format is as follows: Pairs will play knockout rounds over a best of 5 frame match throughout. Pairs will decide before each match which of them shall be “Player A” and “Player B” and in a match, each player will play one frame against the other players in the opposing team; frames 1-2 and 4-5 (if required). Player “A” from one team will play player “B” in frame one and vice versa for frame two. The third frame in each match will involve players in each team playing a doubles frame with each player taking alternate turns. If the match score after these three frames is 3-0, the match is over. Should the match require a fourth frame, both Player “A”s will play each other and in the event of a deciding frame, this will be between both Player “B”s. For the individual frames, full league handicaps will be used and for frame three, the handicaps will be the sum of the two player’s handicaps added together and halved. The semi-finals and final dates will be published with the first round draws.

Entry forms should be displayed in clubs; however, this is up to the club captains. We will accept TRANSFERS this season to the IOMBSA account, Account No: 12755729.
